Have you collected seeds from your garden? Or do you have excess commercial seed from the last several years? Bring them! No seeds? Come anyway! All are welcome to take what they need at the 1st Annual Seed Swap.
The Seed Swap aims to gather people and seeds for nourishing community resilience and neighborly connection. Join other plant enthusiasts – including experienced seed savers and new gardeners – to cultivate a network of people interested in local seed keeping and sharing. With seeds (and most other things), we have learned patterns of scarcity and market transactions. Through the Seed Swap, we’ll practice abundance and generosity with seeds and each other.
Don’t miss this potluck-style sharing of seeds on February 22 from 3-5 pm ET. Please bring your seed labeled and packaged (in bulk is fine). We will have extra envelopes, pens, markers, tape, and labels. Upon arrival, you will be invited to distribute your seed onto tables labeled by plant type. After a welcome and introductions, the swap will begin!
