Princeton Food Project hosted visiting scholar Andrea Borghini for a lecture on Monday, December 9, 2024. Borghini, who is visiting at the University Center for Human Values, gave a talk entitled “What is a Recipe?” Borghini helped the audience to think through the limits, purpose, and importance of recipes and of using recipes to communicate ideas about food within and across cultures. A philosopher of food, Borghini runs the Culinary Mind, a Center for the Philosophy of Food based at the University of Milan.
